Who it's for
Planning ahead, or sorting someone's affairs?
Wiseplan helps with both - putting your own affairs in order now, and guiding the people left to deal with someone else's later. Start wherever you are today.

Getting started
A little preparation now, a lot less for them later.
It takes about ten minutes to begin. You come back to it as life changes - and it's never lost in between.
1
Build your Wiseplan
We've worked out everything an executor or attorney would need to know - so we ask the questions, you just give the answers.
2
Choose your people
Name the executors, attorneys or family who should be able to open your Wiseplan - and decide exactly when they can.
3
It waits, quietly
Your Wiseplan stays private and encrypted until it's needed. Then it hands over a clear, probate-ready plan.
Probate, in plain English
When someone dies, somebody has to sort it all out.
That somebody is usually a husband, wife, son or daughter - and the job is bigger than most people expect. Probate is the legal right to deal with an estate. Wiseplan is the head start.
1Register the deathand get the documents you'll need
2Find the will & value the estateevery account, asset and debt
3Apply for the grant of probatethe legal go-ahead to act
4Pay inheritance tax & debtsbefore anything is shared out
5Share out what's leftto the people named in the will
Typically 9-12 monthslonger when records are scattered - which is most of the time
Security
Built to keep your information safe and private.
🔐
Bank-grade encryption, end to end
Your Wiseplan is protected with the same strength of encryption banks use, end to end - so only you and the people you choose can ever open it. We can't read it, and neither can anyone else.
🛡️
Stored and protected in the UK
Your data is held on secure servers in the UK and handled under UK data protection law (UK GDPR). It stays in the UK, it's never sold, and it's only ever used in the ways you've agreed to.
👥
You control who has access
On our sharing plans, you choose exactly who can see your records and when - now, once an LPA is in place, or only when the time comes. Nothing is shared without your say-so, and you can change or revoke access at any time.
Common questions
The things people ask first.
Is Wiseplan a will? Do I still need one?
No - Wiseplan doesn't replace a will, and you should still have one. A will says who inherits; Wiseplan is the practical companion to it, holding everything your executor needs to actually carry out your wishes. If you don't have a will yet, we'll point you to where to get one.
Who can see my information, and when?
Only the people you name, and only when you decide. You choose who can open your Wiseplan and whether that's now, on request, or only once your death has been verified. You're in control at every step, and you can change your mind at any time.
What happens to my Wiseplan if the company stops trading?
Your records would never simply disappear. If we ever stopped trading, we'd securely delete your data so it can't fall into the wrong hands. And if Wiseplan were ever bought or sold, you'd be told and given the choice of whether to continue with the service - it's your information, and the decision stays with you.
How is this different from a password manager?
A password manager holds your logins. Wiseplan holds the whole picture - accounts, property, policies, legal documents, wishes and letters - and organises it the way an executor needs it, with guidance on what to do next. Passwords are just one small part.
Is my data kept in the UK?
Yes. Wiseplan is built for families in England and Wales, stored in the UK, and follows UK data protection law. Dates, currency and probate guidance all follow England and Wales rules.
