Who it's for

If you have a bank account, a home or a pension, it's for you.

That's really all it takes. You've got an estate, and one day someone has to make sense of it. Wiseplan is for you, your partner, your parents, your grandparents - anyone who'd rather leave a clear record than a guessing game.

No estate is too simple or too complex. Whether someone needs to step in while you're ill or away, or sort everything out after you're gone, Wiseplan spares the people you love the search.

Why it matters

Without a plan, things get lost.

Not just paperwork - money, wishes and months of your family's time. The numbers tell the story.

47%

of UK adults have no will - more than 32 million people.

The National Wills Report, 2025
4 in 5

haven't registered a lasting power of attorney, so no one they trust can step in if illness strikes.

Canada Life, 2022
£31bn

sits in 3.3 million lost pension pots - saved over a lifetime, then lost track of.

Pensions Policy Institute, 2024
£50bn+

of savings, investments and accounts lie unclaimed across the UK.

Gretel, 2022

None of this needs to happen to your family. A clear plan is how you make sure it doesn't.

Why Wiseplan

More than a drawer of documents.

Keep it in a folder, a spreadsheet or a password manager, and whoever picks it up is still left guessing. Wiseplan is built around what they'll actually need - to carry out your wishes, or keep life running when you can't.

It's not a password manager.

Logins are one piece of the puzzle.

Wiseplan holds the whole picture - accounts, property, policies, documents and wishes.

It's not a spreadsheet only you understand.

We ask the right questions, so you record exactly what an executor needs - account numbers, references, who to contact.

We've worked out what's needed, so you don't have to.

It's not a will.

A will records who inherits.

Wiseplan holds everything the people you trust need to actually carry it out.

It's not a vault that quietly goes out of date.

Life moves on - accounts open and close, policies renew, passwords change.

Wiseplan shows you what's complete and what's missing, and prompts you when a record hasn't had a look in a while.

What's inside

Everything you'd hate to leave them searching for.

You build a clear record of everything you own and manage - bank accounts, property, pensions, insurance, subscriptions, devices and logins - organised the way an executor actually needs it, not scattered across drawers, inboxes and a dozen forgotten logins.

Finances

Bank and savings accounts, pensions, investments, debts - everything you own and owe.

Property & assets

Homes, land, vehicles and valuables, with the deeds and documents that go with them.

Accounts & subscriptions

The bills to cancel and memberships to close, so nothing keeps taking payments.

Devices & digital

Phones, laptops, email and the online accounts that hold a life these days.

Legal & wishes

Your will, Lasting Power of Attorney, funeral wishes and the instructions that matter.

Letters to loved ones

Private messages, kept safe and delivered to the right people at the right time.

Important contacts

The solicitor, accountant, financial adviser and family who'll need to be told.

Insurance & cover

Life cover, home and health policies - what's protected, and who to claim from.

Security

Built to keep your information safe and private.

Strong security controls

Your Wiseplan is protected with encrypted connections, access controls and careful handling of sensitive information.

Only the people you choose can access what you decide to share.

Stored and protected in the UK

Your data is held on secure servers in the UK and handled under UK data protection law (UK GDPR).

It stays in the UK, it's never sold, and it's only ever used in the ways you've agreed to.

You control who has access

On our sharing plans, you choose exactly who can see your records and when - now, once an LPA is in place, or only when the time comes.

Nothing is shared without your say-so, and you can change or revoke access at any time.

Guidance

Plain-English help for the moments people prepare for.

Not everyone needs the detail straight away. If probate or Lasting Power of Attorney is on your mind, start with one of our short guides.

After someone dies

Probate

When someone dies, their estate has to be settled - and someone has to do it. Here's what that involves.

  • What probate is, and when it's needed
  • What an executor actually does
  • The steps, and where the time goes

While you're alive

Lasting Power of Attorney

An LPA lets someone you trust make decisions for you if you no longer can. Here's how it works.

  • What an LPA is, and why it's made early
  • The two types, explained
  • How to set one up, step by step

Common questions

The things people ask first.

Is Wiseplan a will? Do I still need one?

No - Wiseplan doesn't replace a will, and you should still have one. A will says who inherits; Wiseplan is the practical companion to it, holding everything your executor needs to actually carry out your wishes. If you don't have a will yet, we'll point you to where to get one.

Who can see my information, and when?

Only the people you name, and only when you decide. You choose who can open your Wiseplan and whether that's now, on request, or only once your death has been verified. You're in control at every step, and you can change your mind at any time.

What happens to my Wiseplan if the company stops trading?

Your records would never simply disappear. If we ever stopped trading, we'd securely delete your data so it can't fall into the wrong hands. And if Wiseplan were ever bought or sold, you'd be told and given the choice of whether to continue with the service - it's your information, and the decision stays with you.

How is this different from a password manager?

A password manager holds your logins. Wiseplan holds the whole picture - accounts, property, policies, legal documents, wishes and letters - and organises it the way an executor needs it, with guidance on what to do next. Passwords are just one small part.

How do I know my plan is complete?

Wiseplan guides you through what an executor or attorney will actually need, section by section, so you can always see what's done and what's still missing. And because plans go stale, Wiseplan prompts you to review records you haven't updated in a while - so your plan stays accurate, not just filed away.

Is my data kept in the UK?

Yes. Wiseplan is built for families in England and Wales, stored in the UK, and follows UK data protection law. Dates, currency and probate guidance all follow England and Wales rules.
